Visual Communication I
The goal of this poster is to communicate the state of pollution in our oceans. Provoking a sense of urgency and understanding of the importance of conserving our oceans without cluttering the viewer with facts or statistics. My goal was for the visual to speak for itself, retaining its impact with and without type, at various scales and mediums, without requiring previous knowledge or more than a short glance for the audience to understand the message.
This piece was created by constructing sea life with various plastic scraps, scanning them, and editing them in Photoshop. All assets are completely original. I find it important to work physically on a project before taking it to the computer to connect with my ideas and understand how I can best solve the problem at hand.
